Roshana Thambyrajah is a Ramon y Cajal Investigator at the University of Cantabria. She received her bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Tübingen and her master's degree from the University of Leipzig, Germany. She then went to the University of Nottingham, UK to pursue a PhD in developmental biology. She then joined Prof Lacaud's laboratory at the CRUK in Manchester as a Postdoctoral scientist before moving to the IMIM, Barcelona. She received the Ramon y Cajal Fellowship in 2023. Dr Thambyrajah´s work has focused deciphering how blood stem cells are generated during embryogenesis. Her hope is to translate her findings into regenerative medical settings.
